Coffee: Friend or Foe?
Are you as conflicted as I am about the constant coffee debate? One moment, the news says it’s bad for you, and the next, it says it’s good for you!
What’s the truth? Mixx’s approach is to look at the studies.
Back in 2012, it was concluded that more than 3 cups of coffee a day led to a 10 percent decrease in mortality risk [See Study].
But then the very next year, a study said at least 4 cups of coffee was correlated to a 21 percent higher mortality risk [See Study].
But wait– it’s also associated with an increased risk of bladder cancer, but only if you’re a smoker [See Study].
Gee, thanks, science.
So what do we do?
I like to think that if there’s no sure link between “moderate” coffee drinking (3-5 cups/day) and bad health, then I’ll stick to my coffee and just make it up with a salad. Or some yoga 😉
So what do you think? To coffee or not to coffee?
